Mission

The iSwim4 Foundation is a safe, sober swimming community; its Mission is to inspire those affected by Substance Use Disorder – directly or indirectly – by demonstrating what’s possible in Recovery. We believe that by not only inspiring, but also involving those who are directly affected in a supplemental program of Recovery through physical activity emphasizing swimming, provides a transcendent and meaningful way of attaining the Rewards of a life in Sobriety.

Mission & Vision

Vision: iSwim4 in Action

Our “Aquatic Advocacy” uses a three-pronged approach:

  1. To demonstrate what’s possible in Recovery – for those struggling with Substance Use Disorder, those in early Recovery and others affected by association – by publicizing the notable aquatic events and accomplishments of others who have been similarly affected;

  2. To support those in Recovery by providing activities which supplement their chosen program with aquatic events, instructional insights, access to facilities and coaching programs in order to strengthen the quality and longevity of their sobriety;

  3. To publicize and leverage the impact made by individuals who have made the most of their “second chance” by contributing to important social issues that affect our society at large, which assists in eliminating the stigma surrounding Substance Use Disorder.
